Gays rights are taking over Washington

As many of you know....I have strong feelings about homosexuality. I do not, nor will I , support legislation that allows Homosexuals to marry or have special rights. Today was a sad day for every true Republican in Washington State. With a Majority vote in the House...a bill was passed out. This bill will allow homosexuals.....gays ....lesbians....to be included as a minority status. So that we are no longer allowed to discriminate against them in the workplace, when renting them property, selling them homes, giving them credit, etc.

It honestly, has been the saddest day in history for Washington State. What ever happened to the freedom to choose who we want to surround ourselves with. We allow gays and lesbians to have the freedom to be who they feel they need to be, but yet, we did not include religous freedoms in that minority status bill. So, while we protect people who freely choose to have sex with people that are of the same gender, we do not believe in protecting people from discrimination based on their religous beliefs.

The truth is...the Democrats have used their power as the majority to pass immoral legislation....as much as they possibly can...because they know that at some point soon, they will no longer have the majority power. At which , we will do all we can to build back the moral foundation of Washington State.

There is not much more to comment on this issue...we need to quit allowing this special treatment for homosexuals. They are not a minority...they are just people with strange sexual preferences.

Ok, so I know I have not blogged in a very long time...and I am sure that you all have been waiting on pins and needles for my next post....( :

So...here it is...Could I be anymore busier? Seriously, why is it that during the holidays EVERYONE wants something from you!?!? Also...why is there the expectation that if you are single during the start of the holidays, you will, by a wonderous miracle, be UN-single by Christmas time? What's the deal? I have been "harrassed"....since asked out is way too nice of a term...by several young men...and by young, I mean..young...and then a few older...and by older..i mean..just flat out OLD...men. I realize people are lonely, but COME ON! Christmas is about the Lord and of course..me getting a lot of presents...its not about desperation and quick fixes. Grrr! small pet peeve...

Also...what is this crap about "Happy Holidays"?? No retards..its Merry Christmas...get it right damn it! I refuse to say Happy Holidays to anyone...It is Merry Christmas..and then if I know I offended them...I like to throw in.."May God bless you in the New Year"...ahh...I love to see the heathens squirm. ( :

Next: New pattern in my life....Boys that are just friends...and not boyfriends...and not boys that like boys..these are straight guys...what is that about??? I have more guy friends than I do girlfriends..i go out to parties and dinner, etc...with my guy friends..and not my girl friends...I am confused...when did the "friend" status change? I thought girls were supposed to hang with girls..and if a dude was hangin with ya..its cause he likes you. This world is crazy. However, I will say...that most nights I go out with my guy friends, I never spend a dime of my own money. They all buy me stuff...it is pretty damn nice actually. So..in the long run, I am not complaining.

Last: I have a few political "beefs" I want to rant about..but I will do that later tonight when I get home....

Ok..hot topics..smoking ban and gas tax repeal:

First of all..many know that I am opposed to the smoking ban...I do not believe that government has the right to tell people how to run their businesses. I have heard lots of valid arguements against opposition to the smoking ban and I understand that this is for health purposes. But if we continue to let government dictate our lives...then we will be giving them an opening for the start of communism.
Next...
the gas tax repeal..I AM FOR THIS.....my main reason is because polls showed that the majority of Washington people opposed the transportation budget that included the tax raise. Washington people did not want the additional taxes. I understand that supposedly if we repeal this tax..current projects would stop and we would be in a tougher spot than we are know. With that being said..did you know that the legislature funds projects that do not even have permit? Therefore, we set aside money for places like King County...for major projects that are so important..we cant even work on them!?!? Yet, that money could be used to fix projects in other counties that already have permits. Go figure.

However,..I do believe that the repeal will pass..and the Democrats will bend us over and screw us by passing a supplemental budget of some kind this next session to put that tax back in place. Our only hope is that the Democrats will use time to make mistakes so that we can gain back seats in the house and senate and get majority.

Neil Diamond...he was awesome!

Definitely old...very very old...the lust factor died when we saw him come on stage...but his voice...his voice was amazing.

He played for 2 hours straight, no intermission, no encores. He was just amazing. His band was fabulous..the songs he sang were great (although..i was bummed out when he didn't sing solitary man) ...but it was awesome.

Would I see him again? Maybe...it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. But man, was he old.

That...and there were so many old people and tranny's....we were definitely the minority in that arena. Crazy.

How can people keep blaming the President for what happened and is happening in Louisiana?

How can a man, that has NO CONTROL over mother nature, be accused of making mistakes when it came to rescuing these people?
First of all, was it Bush's fault that people did not listen to the mandatory evacuation? If you had nothing, then leaving with nothing wouldn't be any different, then staying with nothing... Make sense? These people that said they didn't have the funds to leave or didn't have a car, etc...ok, I feel a little bad for them, but only a little. Hey, I am a capitalist..if you want to be better, only you can make yourself that way, it is not the governments job to do it.
Second of all, again, how is it Bush's fault that when rescue teams started to search for survivors, hoodlums and looters, armed themselves with weapons, and started to shoot at these people? Hey, if you dont want to be rescued, fine...die...I am not going to risk my life for yours.
Thirdly, the Superdome...of course they were going to be without food....of course they were going to be with out water...again..how is this Bush's fault? Isn't this really the State of Louisana's fault? Isn't this their governor's fault?? When the storm ended, why wasn't martial law called? Why didn't officials go to the grocery stores and take whatever food and water was edible and take it? How can you blame Bush for the lack of preparedness by the LA people? They were warned three days in advance that this storm was coming and that it was a level 5....
Lastly, Bush didn't make this storm. He didn't tell all the poor minorities to stay in LA and to leave their shelters/homes with nothing...to walk barefoot or to come in flip flops and their wifebeaters...to the Superdome. They KNEW 3 days in advance. No one told them to stay, it was their choice. Now because they made the decision and they dont like the outcome, they want to blame someone else.
This is not a race issue. If this happened in Florida, we would be racist against the Cubans that live there? Or if this happened in California, would we be racist against the Mexicans? Or wait...what about if this happened in Washington, would be racist against the White people or the Asian American groups? This is not a race issue. It is unfortunate that the group that is there...are African Americans...it is unfortunate, that they were the poor group in LA. But, I do not think Hurricane Katrina and George Bush said..hmm...well...lets annihilate New Orleans because all the poor black people live there.

Gas Tax Roll Back

Wednsday, Republicans proposed legislation that would "roll back" the 31cent gas tax in Washington State for 90 days, as a relief effort for the rising cost of gas, due to Hurricane Katrina (which I think is BS..but that is a whole other blog).

Of course, our beloved Governor DENIED that roll back stating that we could not afford to miss three months of taxes and still continue to keep transportation repair projects going. (again, something else that I think is BS). Republicans determined that we would be able to survive those three months by using some of the funds in the reserve account...again, Gregoire denied this request, stating that the Reserve funds were not to be used for "this kind of emergency".

Yeah, whatever...you know, there is a reason WA has one of the highest unemployment rates in the US...it is thinking like Gregoire that keeps us poor and in a constant state of frustration.

All we can hope is that her denial will help to boost our popularity during elections time and will help seal her fate, so that this foolish person does not rig another election..er..I mean,...get re-elected.

The Gas Tax

With the 2005 Legislative Session over and the 2006 session quickly approaching..requests for new laws and suggested legislation is pouring in. Many topics ranging from the Growth Management Act to the Right to Privacy are bouncing around the State. But one topic stays on the top of the list and that is The Gas Tax.

Currently, I-912 is being passed around Washington like wildfire. Groups, headed up by the infamous Tim Eyman, are rallying against the state hoping to see the initiative on the November ballot, that will repeal the much discussed and disliked Gas Tax, passed by the Democrats during the 05 session.

There are many Washington citizens, mostly King county, that feel repealing this tax will only go to damage WA. Then there are the groups, not King county, who feel that the tax was specifically set aside for King county only and that their districts will not see the benefits of the rising tax.

The truth is the tax was created as a way to fund projects, at least 80% of the projects, in King County. The next part of this truth is...the tax does not even begin to cover the funding for the projects created in King county. Rumor has it that they Democrats in 07 will be pushing for another tax raise to help assist the ever growing defecit in our transportation budget.

My question to them would be: How much is enough? When are the people of King County going to have to take responsibility for their district? Why should the rest of WA pay for that county? People in Eastern WA are not nescessarily using the Alaskan Way Viaduct, but yet, they are paying for it.

Why not put tolls in on the highways and bridges of King County? Let those that use the roads, pay for them. No one asked everyone in WA if they wanted to support King County...no one asked all the people in King County to live there and to bunch themselves up into a big city...so that the roads are damaged at a faster rate, because thousands of people are driving on the road everyday.

In the Olympian, in August, there was an article in regards to the gas tax repeal initiative. It stated that leaders from the legislature would be raising money to launch a NO to the gas tax repeal campaign. it is mentioned that the campaign will cost from 800,000.00 to 2.5 million dollars. Ridiculous. You guys are willing to spend all that money on a campaign that will NOT work...why dont you donate all that money to fix your damn roads in King county?

That gas tax will be repealed...I believe that...but because we decide to stand up against the states leaders, I think they will take away our initiative right. They tried this year, what is stop them from trying again. Until we have a reorg in our legislature..WA state will continue to decay. Another Civil War is in our future...I believe it...mock me if you want..but there will come a day when people will not longer respect or revere our government...and they are gonna stand up and take back the state and america that we used to be.

Ok..GUYS...what is the trend of wearing socks with your sandals (birks, teva, adidas, etc..) ...it is wrong and frankly gross! In fact...if I am dating a guy, I nip that in the bud ASAP! its just wrong..socks and sandals...dont mix..its like oil and water!!!!!

If you are afraid your feet are ugly..get over yourself...almost all feet are ugly....their feet...big deal...get a pedicure (yep, guys can do that...in fact...girls LIKE that guys that do that...) UGH! I mean, where I work...I understand that its down time and we can dress casual...but some people just take it to far...example: This tall skinny guy that works here....is pale...blonde hair...pasty looking...wears a red t-shirt (hanes his way man!) and then cargo khaki shorts (no complaint there, that's trendy) but THEN he pairs it with calf high....calf high damn it!!!...BLACK socks and khaki birks!!! Everytime I see him, its like nails on a chalkboard! I just want to grab him..drag him to Kenneth Cole and scream MAKE HIM OVER!!! ...ok maybe not to that extreme..but pretty close.

Just dont do it....if you dont think you can control yourself...then dont buy sandals..just stick with shoes....shoes without Velcro or slip ons....What happened to the GQ men!?!? I met the first guy in my life that dresses as nice as I do...it was refreshing...it was almost surreal....I am surrounded by advertisements for the GOODWILL!!! How do I get out of this vortex!?

I was born into a Baptist family. I attended Baptist churches, sunday school, vacation bible school, summer church camp, you name it, I did it. I even went to a private catholic college, just so that I would have some religious affiliation influencing my life choices. Christianity is like breathing, it just comes natural to me..I never questioned it, always believed it and have never lacked faith in it.

As an adult, I have struggled with the concept of God, the concept of predestination and the concept of a free will (which has always seem an oxymoron if you believe in predestination). I quit going to church in 2003, after several relationships, that all had the same pattern, that all ended very badly. The church started to dictate my life...where I went, who I went with, what I wore, what I said, what I listened to, what I watched, what I did on Saturday nights, who I dated, when I got married, whether or not I should get a divorce, etc...slowly, I began to lose who I was and started to have similar traits and ideals that the people I went to church with. It was a continuing struggle for 2.5 years (why I just didnt see that I was surrounding myself with judgemental morons, I have no idea). It finally snapped for me, when one day after working out at the club I belonged to, I came out to find a girl that I went to church with and considered a friend, leaning up against my car. They had sent her as an "intervention" .....because I was becoming to worldly, focusing on working out too much, dating too much, wearing MAKEUP (what the hell people...honestly..I cant help it if your not attractive, so dont knock me cause I am prettier than you) etc....I just couldnt even listen to her anymore or listen to them...I got in my car, almost ran her over (seriously)..and went straight to the pastor and told him he could take his bogus religion and shove it where the sun dont shine (i really did say that..only not so polite..so I guess I am a sinner afterall) ( :

Ok...so that was 2 years ago..a lot has happened since then...but my bitter taste for organized religion has remained the same...up until recently. After a week of partying at a conference this month, I realized that I had taken the exact path in life that I had not wanted to take. There were several situations that arose, that people could have been seriously hurt in..but thankfully, no one was, well not physically, emotionally...there was a lot of damage and some marriages have ended due to that week. (funny how a relationship can be finished in just a matter of minutes)...that week gave me a reputation that doesn't quite fit who I am, but now people see me and someone I am not...this really bothered me...I like my good girl image..and the fact that people see me as a reliable trustworthy person...but you know the old saying "You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas" well that is where I am at now...thats right people..I have fleas ( : ...no but seriously, you know what I mean.

So..after a week of recuperation (cause it really took that long to get caught up on my sleep)...I decided that I needed to find somewhere that I could meet people that had similar goals in life and were like minded. Alas...it lead me back to church. Sunday I went back to church for the first time in 2 years...it was hard...it took me all day Saturday to decide where I wanted to go...I finally settled on this church called Evergreen Community Center...and all I can say was...it was awesome! The service that I attended was at 1130, they had a full band that played...alternative christian music and the pastor..he was on fire...I really dug it. I didnt talk to anyone..just walked in, sat down, listened and left. And honestly....I actually have felt better in the last two days than I have in the last 2 months.

What's my point? I dont know....go to church...find religion...get the Lord....maybe it is all of those things. I dont know that I have a point. All I know is..being a Christian is more than just attending church..or reading your bible...its who you are on the inside, who you surround yourself with, what you put into your mind...its a lot of things..and I think I often times forget that.

Hey...I havent had any coffee today...and I am feeling analytical...no one said this blog was going to make sense.

Movie Review #2

Ok...wanted to do something fun Friday night, but my posse was wanting to play it low key...SOOOO...we ended up going to see a movie...surprise surprise!

We saw Broken Flowers, the new Bill Murray movie. The only thing I can say about this movie is this:

Bill, if you plan on continuing to make this CRAP, I will have to NEVER watch another one of your movies again!

This was the WORST movie I have ever seen. Maybe I built my self up to high expectations after watching Lost in Translation and The Life Aquatic by Steve Zasu (cant remember how to spell), I just expected more from Bill Murray.

I should have known this movie was going to suck, when I discovered that Sharon Stone was in!

Waste of time and life...damn crappy movies.

The 40 year old Virgin...this movie is a MUST SEE!!! Hilarious! Best comedy I have seen all year...I laughed through the entire movie and still laughing thinking about some of the parts~ Be Aware..this movie is raunchy as heck~ but still funny as all get out!

Legalizing Marijuana

For the last few weeks, the legislature has been bombarded with letters and phone calls from groups (supporters), requesting that in 2006, legislation legalizing marijuana be passed. This is an ongoing topic that is continually brought "to the table" and normally pushed aside. But, with Democrats running our state, supporters of legalizing marijuana feel they have a better chance at get this legislation passed, and so do I.

The continuing argument is "Marijuana should be legalized for medical purposes".....to up until now, our government has not agreed with that assessment. Yes, you can get a prescription for types of Marijuana for medical purposes, but it is rare and it is limited. If Marijuana was capable of eliviating symptoms and prolonging life, then I feel that the Pharmaceutical companies would have found a way to manufacture Marijuana and make some serious profit off of it.

I believe that there is no reason to legalize Marijuana, let alone to legalize any illegal drugs. If anyone watched the news last night, you would have seen where a young teenage boy was arrested for outrunning the cops, because he was high on Meth and thought that the cops were really "bad guys" trying to get him. Watch the news everyday, read the paper...look around down town Olympia, and you will see drug use everywhere. It is extremely out of hand. Instead of legalizing a drug, we need to be creating harsher laws and stronger deterrents. Washington wastes too much time trying to figure what new tax to create and less time trying to clean up the mess that we have in this state.

I have yet to have a constit or person talk with me about Marijuana legalization, that isn't already an avid drug users. In fact, I have a few that believe cocaine and heroine should also be legalized. Is there really any benefit to legalizing drugs? I thought science and medicine was meant to save and cure people, not to create addicts and only temporarily eliviate the problem.

****side note...I hate drugs.....more than anyone can know...I will never support legalizing them.... I just cannot understand why anyone would want to damage their bodies like that or risk killing themselves for an hour of a high.

I work with a lot of women...A LOT! too damn many....in fact, most of my jobs, except one, consisted of coexsisting with female co-workers. As always, the majority of people, tend to get along with one another. They are polite and friendly...because really, they are just there to do their job. But a workplace just wouldn't be the same if you didn't have one or two (or a few more than that) women who feel the need to involve themselves with everybody's business.

These are the women that confide in you their personal issues so that you will feel that since they trust you with their info, that you will can trust them. You will end up spilling your guts and your deepest darkest secrets to these women, thinking that you have found a confidant and a new friend to support you. Little do you know, that when you are done talking to them, they will run to their little group and trash the hell out of you, sparking rumors that will lead people who do not know you, to think you are a bad person.

These are the women that will stop you in the hallway and inform you that your shoes look ugly with your skirt. Or that your haircut, just might be a tad short for your face and now you look fat...or that your eyeliner was only meant for hookers to wear...or..my all time favorite...."I was watching Extreme Makeover last night and did you know that ANYONE, including you, can send a picture and a letter in, requesting some assistance"....(i felt so sorry for the girl they said this to..I thought her crooked nose was cute)

These are the women that make the workplace exciting, right? They keep the gossip flowing and the stories brewing. They are masters at criticism and have perfected the art of lying.

For experienced workers, these women, are just small annoyances...you pass them....you dont make eye contact..they dont really bother you. But, for new employees, who are new to the work arena, these women are predators. Their goal is to seek you out and devour you.

Now...just to make sure I have clarified who these women are....they are typically between the ages of 35-50, unattractive or simply normal looking, poor dressers (very fond of the 80's attire, so it seems), loud talkers and they travel in groups of usually 3. (I am not making this up...) They know the employee handbook from front to back and have the ethics or HR people's phone numbers on speed dial. They know everyone, from the janitors to the corporate leaders to the people that deliver the supplies. They will be your best friend from the very beginning, no questions asked.

BUT.....the entire time they are talking to you, introducing themselves, etc...they are looking for things that make you less than them. They are checking your desk for things you are not suppose to have. Or listening to your phone conversation on the other side of the cubicle wall, waiting until you hang up so that they can tell you what you said was wrong. These women, in my book, are the losers of the workplace.

Which comes to my point:

I think that when you start a new job and are sent through training, they should have a handbook on how to handle women like this. We have a guidebook for all sorts of other harrassments, but nothing on how to stop the gossiping biatch that sits next to from ruining your day, every day, from 7-5. So, since the workplace does not provide any guidelines or rules, I thought I would make some myself...

1. Women are biatches. They are simply made that way. Don't be fooled, they cannot change their ways, they can be nicer biatches, but nevertheless, they are biatches.

2. Women do not like competition. So, if you are prettier or smarter than the older or middle aged woman you sit by, prepare to be harrassed and criticized. Just know, that they cant change how ugly or dumb they are, and that you will continue to be prettier and smarter. So smile at them or even go and give them a hug, cause, your happiness will difuse their biatchiness...it works, I do it all the time.

3. DONT CONFIDE IN PEOPLE THAT YOU WORK WITH! Can I be anymore clearer? You need to confess something, go to a priest, the police or a counselor, but don't spill your guts to the blue haired lady sitting next you...because by lunch time, the entire office will know.

4. If you got it, work it. Let those other women be intimidated by you. If you look good in your clothes (and you aren't whoring yourself out) then let them be jealous. Besides, it will be you, with the confidance, that gets promoted, not the lady that hates everyone, because she hates herself.

5. Women do not need more than a few friends. Seriously, you can have a bunch of acquantinces, but more than 3 or 4 friends...its just too many...so to think that you can be best friends with the 10 women you work with, is a pipe dream..let it go.

6. Work is work. It is not play time or lets talk about girl stuff time, it is work. Dont bring your work home with you, meaning, keep your co-workers just that...co-workers...don't hang out with your posse of female co-workers after work and expect there to be no conflict. Women are jealous and envious creatures...there is always conflict.

Lastly,

7. If you work with guys..make them your friends...Guys take no crap. They dont gossip, they tell you like it is, they support your choices without giving you their take on your life and they dont criticize what you wear. They may think it, but they dont say it. They are great allies...if they see you are cool like them, then they will get your back when the predators come, they will stand up for you and protect you.

Kung Fu Hustle:

I loved this movie! Seriously..I highly recommend it...I have not laughed that hard in a while! It is all in subtitles..and it is sort of resembling Kill Bill, but with humor...it was one of the best foreign films I have seen all year. Go out and rent it!

I am highly addicted to foreign films right now..and I love to watch the AZN channel...they are so cheesy!

Tribal Police enforcing laws off tribal land

Beware..if you plan on traveling through Everrett, Quilceda, Marysville area...you can be pulled over by a member of the tribal police.

What the heck!?!? Look...Soveriegn nation means soveriegn nation! Keep your officers on your own land, enforce YOUR laws there...but dont stop me on a US highway and attempt to enforce tribal law! It will only get ugly from there...

The county police and prosecutors in that area have been so overwhelmed that now, any person getting a ticket from a tribal officer, will automatically have a day in district court to dispute their ticket and the validity.

If you have to go to court to determine each ticket's validity...what is the point of giving out the tickets to begin with!? We cannot go onto tribal land and give them tickets!?! You want to be seperated fine, then keep seperated. If we need more county police to enforce the speeding laws through Marysville, etc, then hire more, but don't start giving tribal police the freedom to enforce our laws when they dont have to abide by all of them.

The loss of Seattle Viaduct

Sen. Patty Murray warned local businesses on Weds. in Bellevue that if they approve of the initiative that would eliminate the gas tax, their businesses will suffer and there will be no money to fix the Alaskan Way Viaduct...and your point is what Patty?

How about telling your constits that the gas tax ISN'T even enough to start work on the Alaskan Way Viaduct and that there is already proposals being made to do another gas tax raise? I bet you didn't tell your constits that, sneaker mom.

I will never understand why highways and bridges in King County, such as the Alaskan Way Viaduct are not tolled. I wouldn't have a problem paying a toll to use the floating bridge, Alaskan Way, etc...other states do it all over this country. If you want to go to Seattle or travel through there, you pay a toll..nuff said.

But oh no..King County, which is only a small portion of Washington State (county wise), is supported by the taxes of all the other counties. Our transportation projects are neglected, because God forbid, the Alaskan Way Viaduct needs to be worked on.

Murray...what are you going to say to your constits when they can no longer deliver or transport items because our gas taxes are so high. This is just another example of why Democrats need to get out of our state and our politics. It now costs me 32.00 to fill my VW's 13 gallons...that is so ridiculous...when I first started driving, it was 18.00!! I mean, I bought my beetle, because of the gas mileage...it got better then the Mercedes I test drove..and the Mazda RX 8....it is very frustrating. I for one, will be voting to repeal this gas tax.

Microchipping Sex Offenders

There is a rumor floating around that there may be some possible legislation brought forward in the 2006 session, which would make it mandatory for ALL sex offenders to be microchipped prior to their release from prison.

Now, I am really not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I think, well this would be a good way to monitor offenders and keep them from preying on innocent victims....but on the other hand...I thought if you did your time, you have paid your retribution to society.

How long would they be chipped? Is that even constitutional? Im looking for opinions on this...

Sex offender laws are going to be a seriously HOT topic in 2006 when we go back into session. There are already about 35 proposals for new laws being written pertaining to S.O., their sentences and their punishments.

It is such an ongoing crisis in Washington...but what is the solution?

I just want to clarify....that I by no means am some bible thumping prude who thinks that women should be seen and not heard and that men rule all and that women arent supposed to be sexy and outgoing. Stay at home dads

Can someone please explain to me this new "Stay at home Dad" thing? Since when did Dad's stay at home and Mom's work?

Ok...so...as a female..this is something I feel really strong about and it really aggravates me how our world is changing. I firmly believe that when a married couple has children, I say married..cause well...(I like to pretend that people still get married first, then have kids..you know the whole monogamy and abstinence thing...but again, I say pretend, cause who am I kidding), the husband/father works and the wife/mother stays home and raises that child. I am definitely old school in this area. I would not expect my husband (when I get one) to stay home and raise the children while I go off and have a career.

I do understand that because of our economy, there are many families that are being forced to have both parents work. I understand that. However, for the people that have a choice...I suppose I just dont understand how a woman would not want to stay at home and care for that child that she just carried in her for 9 months.

Not only that, and Guys, I am sorry if you are offended, but I have yet to meet a dominant, strong minded, tough guy persona, that is a stay at home Dad. Most that I have met are wimpy, sort of book wormy, weak men. There might be some rarities out there, but hey, I think if a guy stays home and his wife works, it only goes to show how PW'd he really is.

There has been a risen level in Juvenile crime, teenage sexuality and pregnancy, std's in teens, etc...in the last 10 years. You might be able to blame that on TV and our society, but personally, I think this rebellion in teens is caused from an instability in the home. We have more and more latchkey kids. More kids that are being forced to become responsible adults at a younger age, because they are being forced to care for themselves. I think that also, especially for daughters, having a Mother around, to educate her on the changes in her life is important. I dont know about any of you, but even at 25, I still cannot ask my Dad about sex.

Now we have this new reality show coming out called Mister Mom, where men are suppose to reverse the roles and stay home and take care of the children. Not only does reality TV sicken me, but this whole idea that a man should stay home while a woman works, sickens me.

I dont know about the rest of the females out there, but I have no intention in supporting a man...Again..old school here..but I believe a Man is the bread winner in the household...I have no problem being a team player, and as long as there are no children involved, I would work...I love to work, no problem..but I would not and will not work when I have children. My mother didnt, her mother didnt, her mother's mother didnt...and they still had a fulfilling life.

There..that is my rant...I mean, honestly, what is with this role reversal. I mean...this guys asked me out on date and then wanted me to pay for dinner, cause hey, its 2005, women do that! I dont think so! Where are the real mean!?!? Does anyone know!?

I had the opportunity last week to attend a meeting on Naturopathic Medicine at one of Washington's lovely University's of Natural Medicine. Naturopathic Medicine is an up and coming "Hot" Topic in Health Care circles and in Democrat legislation.

For those that are unaware of what Naturopathic Medicine is....."The word naturopathy was first used in the US just over one hundred years ago. Modern naturopathic physicians are primary health care providers who use therapies that are almost exclusively natural (hence the name naturopathic) and nontoxic. These include clinical nutrition, homeopathy, botanical (herbal) medicine, hydrotherapy, physical medicine, and counseling." There are plenty of articles, studies and conversations posted on the web a person could study if they were curious about Naturopathic Medicine. I knew a little in regards to Naturopathic Medicine, thanks to a brief dating stint with Greener Hippie. The theory behind Naturopathic medicine (NM) is a good one, if you really think about it. (bear with me..I am building to a point)...NM basically revolves around the theory that through diet, exercise, lifestyle and environment changes, a person can maintain their healthiness, build their immunity systems and therefore, have no need for conventional medicine to cure their ailements and illnesses. For instance, If I were to follow NM, and I caught a bad case of the Flu, instead of going to a Dr., I would instead consult my NM Physician and they would prescribe (for a lack of a better term) me several herbs and teas that I would take that would heal my body. You would not have a use for conventional medicine, at least not unless it was, for instance Major Surgery.

Ok, sounds harmless enough, right? Well, as I sat through this meeting, for 3 hours, listening to lobbyists and "Dr.s" of NM, I became more and more convinced that I was sitting in a room listening to people who believed that they had the same power that God had. The arrogance and egos that filled the room, made it almost impossible to breathe, yet there I sat, listening to this garbage, staring at the clock with a pounding headache, wondering when we were going to get a break, so I could go out to my car and get my Aleve.

Here is the problem that I have with NM:

First of all, I believe there is NOTHING wrong with taking vitamins and supplements. With all of the fast food and starbucks that Americans consume, I have no doubt that we have depleted our bodies of much needed vitamins and nutrients. Has anyone ever sat down and ate everything the food pyramid tells you to eat, per day? If so, then good for you,...liar ( :

Per NM, the reason we have so many illnesses, is because of our lifestyles, eating habits and environment...ok..sounds reasonable so far....but here is where they lost me....the other reason we have so many illnesses and deaths...is because of Conventional medicine...real doctors and scientists who are treating us for cancer, aids, hiv, leukimia (sp), strokes, etc, NM Dr.s claim that there are more deaths and illnesses caused at the hands of conventional medicine, because we are experimenting with medicines that are not of the earth and are placing these foreign substances into our bodies, we are treating our bodies like guinea pigs and in the end, we are not getting rid of the disease, but simply easing the symptoms.

This Dr that spoke at this meeting, said, and I quote "Give me a patient that has been on medicine for 5 years, who has only elevated the symptoms of an illness, and in half that time, I will give that patient my "medicine" and cure him." Can we say God-Complex?

This Dr also showed several studies where groups of people suffering from congestive heart failure and who were on specific heart medicines were giving an herb called Hawthorne, and in a few short months, they actually saw Heart muscle regenerate! These people saw their heart muscle come back...Ok..does this sound like a miracle or what? But...wait...if this was so great and these people saw positive results...how is that the the pharmaceutical companies didn't jump on board? Why weren't scientists and Dr.s snatching up this herb and mass producing it? Wouldn't we want this cure to be available to everyone?

NM Dr.s desire to be certified physcians. Yet they do not attend college as long as Conventional Dr.s do, nor are they required to do a residency or continuing education. They are however, NOT exempt, from malpractice, but would like to be, as they are not in the same category as conventional Dr.s. (so they want the right to practice like real docs, but dont want to have to be held responsible like they are...)

They want to be accepted on all Health Care insurances...NM also includes Midwives, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, NM dr.s, Massage Therapists, etc. As it stands now, Acupuncturists are getting coverage through some groups, such as Group Health, and so are Massage Therapists. (Which is causing a huge uprising in the Physical Therapists circles...because MT's go to school for 2 years and PTs go for 4+...)

"Naturopathic practices are a large assortment of erroneous claims mixed with a sprinkling of non-controversial dietary and lifestyle advice." To claim that your handful of herbs compared to a FDA approved drug, is better...is a farse. NM is nothing more than a hippie's excuse to get out of a doing a real job. Our state funds awards and grants to attend these colleges, so that people, who lack a "real" skill, can attend these NM colleges and learn how to poke people with needles or how to give a really good back rub. If you want to risk your own life and your own health, then I do not have a problem with a person going to one of these doctors. But, to certify them, I think is wrong. To fund them, is also wrong. To allow this type of practice to be paid by STATE health insurance is wrong. Your personal, out of your own pocket, health insurance, fine, I dont care...but dont come crying to us when your magic herbs dont cure you.

It just seems like a bunch of hooey...I mean..who thought up this school?? Whats next, a Univeristy for Wiccans?

Wal-Mart Fails to Become Singles Scene

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Wal-Mart has ditched a program that helped single shoppers find love in the discount store's aisles.
Officials at Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville, Ark., ordered their Roanoke store to put an end to Singles Shopping (search), the only program of its kind at Wal-Mart's U.S. stores.
Taking a cue from Wal-Mart in Germany, the month-old program encouraged customers on Friday evenings to pick up a red bow they could place on their shopping carts as an invitation to other singles. "Flirt points" were set up in various sections of the store.
A Wal-Mart spokesman declined to comment on the reason behind the program's cancellation. But customer Dale Firebaugh, who showed up Friday night hoping to meet his match, said store employees told him several people had complained.
"I'm disappointed," said Firebaugh, 63. "Where can someone over 40 who doesn't smoke or drink or go to bars meet someone?" (hahaha....what is wrong with people!!!!)

A Kansas man has put his best foot forward — in a bucket of formaldehyde on the front porch.

Ezekiel Rubottom, 21, of Lawrence, had to have his clubbed left foot amputated three weeks ago after a lifetime of medical problems. After the operation, he took it home.

"I'm not sick or, like, a danger," he told the Lawrence Journal-World. "I just wanted my foot ... I just figured I'd do with it whatever I pleased."

Rubottom's friends at the house where he's staying don't mind the body part in a bucket, but after a local kid told his parents about it Saturday, the cops came by and confiscated it.

"We had to make sure that no crime had been committed," said Sgt. Dan Ward.

On Monday, Rubottom went with police down to Lawrence Memorial Hospital (search), where he proved to them that the foot was his. Hospital official Karen Shumate said people often keep leftover body parts.

"They've had women that want their uterus. People take tonsils. They take appendixes," she told the newspaper. "I think it's unusual that someone would want a foot, but it's within their rights because it's theirs."

Now the foot is back on the front porch, where it floats in the bucket along with a porcelain horse and a can of Hamm's beer (search), forming what Rubottom calls "a collage of myself." Two toes have been snipped off as possible gifts to friends.

"It's cool. It's all good," Rubottom said. "Now I've got my foot back. That's all I wanted."

A federal judge has ordered former football star O.J. Simpson to pay $25,000 in damages for pirating satellite television signals from DirecTV. Of course, since Cochran passed away, OJ has had to get a new attorney, who just isnt as cutthroat as Cochran was.

OJ is refusing to pay this settlement. He denies he did anything illegal and supposedly, the judge has denied OJ the right to a jury trial, so we will see what happens...Do I smell another acquittal?

I was enjoying Coops antics on his site...which is sometimes hard, since I feel like I am reading a college text books sometimes..Coop you are so smart, man!, when I came across this blog regarding this anti war, anti american, leftist art display that was being promoted by California's Attorney General. I don't normally pay attention to anything California...they tend to be Enviro freaks...but Coop's comments caught my eye. So I read the blog, and visited the Anti War/American site.

Take a look at this disgusting display of Anti Americanism. Moments like this, are when I really despise people. This juvenile and uneducated display of Anti-Americanism nauseates me.

First let me say that I more than understand the Constitution. I understand our Freedom of Speech and various other freedoms.

BUT, here is where people lose me. War is what got American's the freedoms they have. Battles fought on this land BY Americans, who were also innocent lives, preserved our right to speak our mind, to practice whatever religion we wanted and to have an opinion that differed from others. Americans, people that live in this country, should embrace and accept that. So by embracing this, we must understand that Wars will continue to be fought IN ORDER to continue to preserve our established freedoms.

When the terrorist struck on 9/11, they sent panic into our country and our government. This panic intertwined itself with our policies, which put the US in jeopardy of not only being weak and therefore possibly invaded, but it also threatened an infringment on our protected rights. What other choice did we have, than to fight back? If we are over run, which I believe could happen some day, look at China, we lose our rights, our freedoms, our religions, etc. So was Bush supposed to sit back and just see what happens or was he supposed to be aggressive and take charge?

America was established by the blood and sweat of our fore fathers. They fought and died for this land. It was an honor to be an American. It was an honor to join our armies and it was an honor to be considered worthy to be an American. Thousands fled here for freedom and the rights to be free.

Now, we want to take those freedoms away from people. The Liberals/Democrats think that we should use policy to fight a way instead of force. When you were in school and the bullies picked on you, how many of you used "policy" to express your point and to protect yourself?

Sometimes force is nescessary. America has the power to eliminate Iraq, but instead we are using policy with some force, and we are not seeing very much progress.

Being American gives you freedoms that are beyond what we deserve. But being American doesn't give you the right to be Anti-American. If you do not like this country, you have the freedom to get the hell out. Go back to your countries, where you were enslaved, in debt and in poverty. See how much they value your opinion there. But don't stay here and dilute this country with your anti-war antics and your anti government beliefs. We gave you the right to even think that way...and in some cases...I think we have the right to take that away.

Esseff, Sr. He paid $104,655.60 to run the ad and did it because he is "sick and tired of the way that the rich" are portrayed these days:

WHAT I AM is a husband who at age 24 started his own business for the"privilege" of working 60, 70 and 80 hours a week, risking everything I had including my health, in search of a better life for myself and my loved ones.

WHAT I AM is a businessman whose blood, sweat and tears....and plenty of them..., made it possible for me to provide a secure living not only for my family and myself, but also for literally hundreds of my employees throughout the years. Employees who in turn were able to buy their own homes, raise their own families and give back to their communities and their country.

WHAT I AM is a man who believes in God; a God who has blessed this country... and all for which it stands.

WHAT I AM is someone who knows, if you doubt miracles exist in today's world, you need only to look into the face of those who received them....and the eyes of those who give them.

WHAT I AM is an American who's proud that his President embraces a belief in God; proud of a President who understands, as "politically incorrect" as it may be, there is evil in this world and for the security and safety of all freedom loving people everywhere, it must be confronted...and it must be defeated.

WHAT I AM is an American who takes comfort in the knowledge that ourPresident refuses to allow decisions concerning the very safety and security of this nation, to be governed by the political whims of foreign governments.

I support and will continue to support those films and performers whom I choose to and refuse to support those I don't. It is my right as an American a right I will continue to enthusiastically exercise.

WHAT I AM is a voter, tired of politicians who every time their voting records are subjected to public scrutiny, try to divert attention from their political and legislative failures by accusing their opponents of "attack ads" and "negative campaigning"....and the news media who allow them to get away with it.

WHAT I AM is a Catholic who loves his God and his Faith....and who's been taught to respect all religions whose teachings are based in love, peace and charity. As such, I am embarrassed and ashamed of those individuals in both private and public life whose decisions and actions are devoid of any sense of character or morals; individuals who are only driven by what's best for them....rather than what's right... oftentimes at the expense of many....including our national security.

WHAT I AM is a realist who understands that the terrorist attack that murdered hundreds of innocent Russian children could have occurred here, in our heartland. WHAT I AM is someone deeply troubled by a political party which embraces a candidate whose primary "leadership" qualities center around his protesting of the Vietnam war and his labeling the honorable men and women who fought in it, (50,000 of whom gave their lives in that action), as rapists, and war criminals (John Kerry). That same political party then stepped forward this year to block the appearance of a true Vietnam war hero, retired Admiral and former United States Senator, Jeremiah Denton, (a man who spent seven years and seven torturous months in a North Vietnam prison), from speaking before an open session of the California legislature as part of that state's 4th of July celebration. The reason Democrats gave for refusing to allow this American hero to speak before their state legislature was because of the "conservative" nature of his views. As an American, that troubles me deeply....as well it should you. (Are you listening Mr. D?)

Movie Review

Ok..I went and saw two movies this weekend....

First was Wedding Crashers: Pretty good...a lot like Old School....but Vince and Owen were a great comedic pair. But, I have to admit...I am very biased..cause I LOVE VINCE VAUGHAN! He is so cute and funny..what more can a girl ask for....However..dont go for a full price showing..hit the matinee...it will make you feel better as you watch it...and discover that it just wasnt as funny as you thought it was going to be....it was still funny...but just not Hilarious.

The second was......thats right people...I saw it....Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...IT WAS AWESOME!!! Fabulous! Spectacular....Johnny Depp...was an amazing Willy Wonka...I laughed a lot. Tim Burton...while I still think he is somewhat certifiable....has an amazing imagination and really brought this movie to life for the new generation. I highly suggest seeing it....

That is my movie review for the week...I have to admit...I see a movie almost every weekend...when you live in a small county like I do...there isnt much else to do...

Can you dig it? I can.

" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Harry Potter, Bewitched, Dungeons and Dragons, Lord of the Rings....

Sorcerors, witches, trolls, fairys, etc....I think every kid at some point wishes they had the skill of magic. Everytime your mom made you help with the yard work or play with the kid next door who you didnt like, you wished you had the power of invisibility or the power to make people do what you want. Imagination is a wonderful thing and can fill a boring day with tons of fun thoughts and ideas.

But kids no longer build tree forts and pretend they are Robin Hood. They dont dress up like Pirates and look for treasure, instead they play dungeons and dragons, pretend they are warlocks and sorcerors, pretending to cast evil spells....they plot deaths, they make wishes of hurt and pain...and they hate...

How did this come about? Is it from movies like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter? Or is it because the cartoons on TV today are violent? Is the lack of parenting or the leniency in schools?

Truth is, no one really knows...I think in order to save our children, it has to start in the homes. You can choose what to allow your children to put into their minds. They do not say that the eyes are the windows to your soul for nothing. You allow your child to read, watch, etc...demonic movies or immoral things, then you cannot expect your children to be angelic.

I think allowing a 10 year old child to sit through Lord of the Rings is wrong. I think taking your 4 yr old son to see War of the Worlds is wrong. Things like Harry Potter and the new Bewitched...I think for the most part...is just fun imaginary ideas. You have to be able to draw the line...if your child is obsessed with magic and witchcraft, then do not allow them to read or watch things that may influence their imagination. Cultivate a different area of growth in your child.

Tarot Cards, Quijee boards (I have no idea how to spell that), Magic cards...I think those are things not to be dabbled in. Dungeons and Dragons...well magic or not...it is just a really stupid thing that guys play...and normal healthy active dudes..dont play that crap.

So is Harry Potter evil...no, I dont think so...I think people are evil...and if a person is destined to be bad...not watching something isnt going to change that.

Ok....I love perfume and cologne on guys....I think it adds to a persons mystery and appeal.....but what I dont understand is the desire to buy perfume that smells like dirt, or lettuce, or veggies, or the earth....I mean...why would anyone want to smell like the yard or the produce aisle??

I work in a place that is basically all cubicles, one right after the other....and I get bitched at all the time for the perfumes I wear.....and I do not wear cheap stuff or bad smelling stuff....but other women dont like it because I get compliments from other men on it and a lot of lobbyists ask me about it...therefore...oh...I must be a whore..(just another reason women suck...jealous Biatches...)....but YET....the hippy D's that work here can get away with wearing that GOD AWFUL Patchouli crap!! Man..it really peeves me!!! That has to be the worst smelling stuff ever. I cannot stand it. I would rather smell Old Spice than patchouli....(one reason why I cannot date guys that go to Evergreen....)

I mean..first of all....why be a hippie?? Is wearing dreads and having dirty hair fun? You used to get up Saturday morning, load up in the car with Mom and head into town to go to your local grocery store. These were normally owned by a wealthier family in society (in my case, they were all owned by the one large mormon family..until safeway came along), employed about 20-30 people, paid pretty well, bag boys got tips when they carried your groceries out, everyone knew your name, etc.....Then Safeways came along, Top Foods, Albertson's, Mega Foods, QFC..you get my point....and the little stores now had to compete with bigger grocery chains....These larger stores could offer more jobs for more people, higher wages and even a few benefits. THEN...bam..you got Cash and Carry, Sam's club and Costco...well...even Safeway had to worry a little bit about that competition....but still these larger places were offering jobs to communities that were lacking employment opportunities....Then you got the mother load....The Walmart Super Store.

Now, for some reason, people are really against Walmart. They stand outside and protest, yelling at patrons that are heading through the large automatic doors, into the mecca of savings. I for one, love Walmart. I was very excited when they built the Walmart in our area..because before it came along, I was having to drive 30 minutes to a larger town just to get to Fred Meyers...and all we had in town was a Sears (which sucks for anything other than appliances and TV's) and K-Mart...(which...well...just sucks). In the community that I live in...you have a small group of upper class people, medium group of middle class people and a LARGE group of lower class people, a chunk of which were unemployed. So when Walmart came into the picture..they flocked to the application kiosk to get their names on the list. At least 100 people went from unemployed to employed above min. wage within days. Not only were they making more money, they were also getting some Health benefits and retirement...things they didnt have before. But most of all, they got self esteem. There is nothing worse than the feeling of helplessness and unworthiness and it is not uncommon to feel both those things when you do not have a job and cannot contribute in society.

Now, but no means am I saying that working at Walmart is like working for Nordstroms, but it is still a job. Walmart brings work to communities that didn't have the work before. They may ask a lot out of their employees...but I do not hear any complaining from people when they are going to the bank to cash their check.

The only complaint that I have against Walmart is that it highly caters to the lower classes of society. It is not uncommon to go in on a Saturday morning (or Weds. welfare payday) and see 100's of people (at least where I live) and half of these people are dirty, smell bad, unkept, obese, loud, rude, and just plain out of it...walking around loading their carts with the cheapest of cheap. I actually have a hard time going to Walmart on those days because I get overcome with a great deal of sadness. It really sucks to see that our society has decayed so greatly that people are ok with not bathing, or bathing their kids or basically just taking care of themselves. I am not saying that everyone has to be pretty, cause hey, not everyone is. But, there really is no excuse for dirty people. Soap is not that expensive...and hey you are already at Walmart...so why dont you pick some up...?

But, to wrap up....I just dont understand people that are anti walmart...does that mean that you are pro welfare? Are you ok with the high unemployment rate? and your tax dollars paying for the welfare that people are on? Im not....I say...if a company is willing to put their business in our community, let em...not only will unemployed people benefit from it, but so will you and your wallet.

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT...so I went and saw War of the Worlds....geez....let it go...we all make mistakes right??

And I will be the first to admit that after seeing the movie....I actually had a slip up and forgot how crazy and strange Tom was.....damn Hollywood and their magic!!! But this morning, I am reading through MSNBC....so that I can be up on all of my world news..and I see in the corner of a page...a NEW article on Tom Cruise...and like a train wreck that you cannot look away from, I had to read it.

The article starts out by Tom Cruise talking about Sex "The “War of the Worlds” star recently revealed to a German magazine that he enjoys sex. “Sex is great, if you are in a relationship,” Cruise told Bild magazine. “Otherwise, I find sex actually not so interesting. Without a relationship it is confusing.”" Ok...not so bad...but...Confusing??? You just forget how to do it? Wait to set up a good standard for kids....he isnt saying you shouldn't do it...outside of a relationship (really you shouldn't have relations outside of marriage...but hey, who am I to judge)....he just says...."well...it can get confusing..."....another fine moment of wisdom from our greatness "The Tom".

"The psychiatry-bashing celeb touched on many topics in the wide ranging interview. Regarding fianceé Katie Holmes, Cruise said: “Our chemistry has clicked. We are so alike. I believe I have found the right one. And I want more children.”" WAIT ONE DAMN MINUTE!!! He wants more children...for anyone that has paid ANY attention to the last two marriages that Tom entered into.....it was very apparent and talked about that he was UNABLE to have children. I mean...HELLO...he divorced the lovely and oh so damn beautiful Nicole Kidman because she was pregnant and he said it could NEVER be his because he cant have children!!! So what....Katie put a spell on you and now your cured?? Ok,...this really aggravates me..because if he knocks Katie up...then he will prove that he is a filthy dirty liar and Nicole was probably telling the truth. (which I dont care whether she was or not....she is just too pretty to be mad at.)

War of the Worlds

Much to the dismay of Rainer.....who is only judgin me because deep down he really wants to see this movie.....I went and saw War of the Worlds. and I have to say...as much as I do not like Tom Cruise right now.....and no...I didn't go see it because I think Tom Cruise is dreamy.....he looks like an oily rat.......that had to be the best movie I have seen this year...so far....Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will probably bump ol' cruisy boy out.

But seriously folks...I was on the edge of my seat and I am not ashamed to admit that I grabbed onto my best friends arm and hand a few times because there were a few scary tense moments. I wouldn't be surprised if Dakota Fanning or Cruise are up for awards for that movie. It was excellent. Go see it....put aside the petty discomforts over the whole TomKat issue and go see the movie....good date movie....good move period.

WASHINGTON — A group of senators who traveled to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, this weekend to observe the conditions at the detention facility held separate news conferences on Capitol Hill Monday, but seemed to agree on one point — that the facility should not be shut down.

Ok..you know what....your damn right is should NOT be shut down. Since when are we suppose to treat our prisoners....US prisoners....TERRORISTS....I will say it again...TERRORISTS...like they are staying at the Four Seasons.

Democratic Sens. Ron Wyden of Oregon (way to represent the West Coast) said"It is my opinion that closing the detention camp at Guantanamo Bay would result in less accountability in the treatment of prisoners, not more," Wyden said. "The question we have to ask is who do we trust more to treat these prisoners humanely — Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Egypt or the United States?" Wait..wait...I am confused....what is this humanely crap about? And if Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or Egypt will do a "better" job and interrogating these prisoners and getting useful information...then by all means....let them have the prisoners. Yeah...real tough stance on the War on Terrorism.

Not only do we have an Iraqi war that is boderline turning into Vietnam, but now we want to be the ones that treat our terrorists prisoners better? Is it me or has the liberal way of thinking (ie: love everyone, everyone's equal....tree hugging...tax dollar spending...property stealing...gun eliminating) eeked into the minds of US politicians and US citizens? Personally...I think we should do whatever it takes to get these terrorists to talk. I think our definition of cruel and unusual punishment has become so misused, that at some point, we will no longer have the death sentence.

Also on the trip were Republican Sens. Jim Bunning (search) of Kentucky and Mike Crapo (search) of Idaho, both of whom went further than Wyden and Nelson and said not only are conditions acceptable at Guantanamo Bay, but that they want to "set the record straight" that prisoners are being treated in a way that's totally consistent with American values. They noted that the new facilities at Gitmo include air-conditioning, good meals, facilities for religious worship and "top-notch health care". Thank God for the Republicans!! What would we do with out them. I mean, for crying out loud I don't have any air-conditioning or top notch health care. These cretons have things us non-criminals don't have.

Man, I could rant on forever. I have always been a believer of "shoot first, ask questions later..." Ok, not that dramatic...but close to it. I did one of my college theses on the death penalty and capital punishment....and my closing quote was " it costs millions of dollars to house and feed these criminals, thousands to lethally inject them and dispose of the body...these prices seem so ridiculous to me...especially since it only costs 5.00 for some rope at your local hardware store and I would be more than happy to volunteer my tree in my back yard for your use." Ok..mind you I was 17 in running start and was a little harsher than I am now...but I am just tired of this pansy ass attitude. Lets bring the old America back....the take no shit America! That is the America that I want to live in.

An East Texas college student finally learned why she'd gained weight and was having abdominal pain — she was about to give birth.

Ok....now honestly....how do you go 9 MONTHS! People....9 freakin months!!!! without knowing that you are pregnant?!?!? You just wake up one morning...and say "damn...my stomach hurts...hmm guess I will go out side and sit on the porch swing......what...what's this~a baby on the porch...what the heck..how did it get here....oh wait...did I bring it!?" Seriously...that was just about how it happened.

All I wanted to do this morning was check out FoxNews.com and see what was going on in the world and this is the news I see. She shouldn't be on the news for her miraculous birth giving....she should be in a padded room so she doesn't hurt herself. Her mother was quoted "I just thought she really liked her Pizza..." when asked if they noticed the weight gain...AHHHH!! Stupid people suck!!! People like this, give us Texans a really bad freakin name!

Ok....I am checking out http://www.drudgereport.com/flash3tc.htm, which rainer suggested I read, thanks buddy. So far...I am on the 10th sentence and my blood pressure has already risen. To be honest...I could care less what Tom Cruise or any other living person believes...as long as it doesn't physically harm me or people I care about, who am I to judge. But this whole Tom vs. Brooke Shields...really has me agitated. How is it, that a man, who can NOT give birth to another living being, is preaching to the world about the cures for post partum depression.

I am sorry....did I misinterpret Tom's profession. I thought he was a movie star...who played MAKE BELIEVE characters....I didn't think he was actually a scientist or a doctor. Nor did I think that he was woman. So I am not really sure, since he doesn't have ovaries (I mean, not that anyone knows about at the moment) and he can't carry a baby, how he expects the world to believe that his method for curing Post Partum Depression (which....ok...in some cases ...is just an excuse for women to lay in bed and be lazy...but not always...it can be rather serious) is the correct way and that ACTUAL doctors and scientists are wrong. This leads me to my other irritation. I cannot stand people who read one or two books on something and ALL OF THE SUDDEN become the only expert known to man kind on that issue. Tom....why aren't the rest of strange science cronies coming forward with their takes on medication...they aren't because they can see that the whole world thinks you are one crazy man....Tom.....Bad Monkey, No Peanut.

04/05 is Hollywood's year for cult recruitment. It all started out with Madonna and Kabbabalah. It has become very popular amongst the 20 yr old and 40+ yr old stars Brittany Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Ashton Kutcher, Roseanne, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Streisand, Courtney Love, Jeff Goldblum and Demi Moore are some of the top members of Kabbabalah.

It really seems like a simple cult...err...I mean religion. Tie a red string around your right wrist to ward off evil spirits. Become part Jewish and part witch, change your name to a biblical prophet or person, take lots of yoga lessons, read your tarot cards and meditate for at least 3 hours a day, so that your spirit can be filled with mystical messages. Sounds simple enough, right? Oh, I forgot....you also have to read the Zohar (which, Kabbalahist believe is the Holy Grail) and learn how to control the Cosmos through your mystic being, therefore becoming more like God.

This leads me to the most recent up and coming religion.....Scientology. This religion has been around for a long time and up until recently, remained on the quiet side of Hollywood. But thanks to "Mr. Show Me the Money" himself and his new child bride, Scientology is becoming the new "It" religion.

For those that do not know what this religion is about, I will tell you what I know. Not much information is released on Scientology. You can find a few things on the internet and most recently, many of the tabloids and newspapers have released some information, that helps to explain this religion. The main belief this religion harbors is that man is fundamentally a spiritual being, but is neither mind nor body, he is simply a "thetan"...which means a type of soul. One does not have a thetan, one is a thetan. The body and brain are only mechanisms, which the Thetan uses while being trapped within the body. A person can progress beyond "clear" to becoming a "OT" or "Operating Thetan." Scientologists believe that an OT is able to leave their body and mind. They can see, hear and feel without access to their normal senses. Great religious leaders like Buddha and Jesus Christ are regarded as being slightly above "clear".Scientologists reject the concept of eternal life in hell and heaven. They believe in reincarnation in which a person passes through a number of lifetimes. "....personal salvation in one lifetime [is] freedom from the cycle of birth and death".There are no particular human incarnations of God as the universal life force (Theta) is inherent in all. All humans are immortal spiritual beings (thetans) capable of realizing a nearly godlike state through Scientology practices. After death: Rebirths continue until one consciously confronts all pre-birth, current life, and previous life traumas and realizes one's true nature as a "thetan," immortal spirit -- transcending matter, energy, space, and time. Achieving this state enables the spirit to escape the cycle of birth and death, to operate independently of the physical universe, and become one with God. But in order to find about about Thetans or to be audited, it cost most people,
$20,000.00 to even get into a meeting to find that information out.

If you become a member of this Church, it is almost impossible to get out. You are required to pay hefty "tithings" to the church in order to maintain your position in the cult...er, I mean church, and to continue to learn the uses of Scientology.

With all that being said, what it really boils down to is, is people like Tom Cruise basically thinks they are a God. The problem with I have with Hollywood is everything they do, is shown to the whole world. Young kids, even older people of our society, that are followers and are weak, glom onto this garbage. People want to do what is popular. So they will follow Madonna and Tom Cruise into the depths of their craziness, where they will eventually find themselves stuck and just as alone as they were when they started this journey.

Being part of a religion shouldn't require you to pay to get in. I do not think Jesus is going to be standing at the Pearly Gates when I die saying "Cover Charge is $20,000.00 grand people, I take Cash, Check or Credit Card. Can't pay that, Hell has a discount price of $25.00. You can pay that to Mr. Cruise at the gate."

It also shouldn't put children at risk of dying because they get the flu or an illness. These guys believe that prayer and the power of your Thetan will heal you. Well, if you are a 50 yr old man, fine, you take that chance, but why should a 5 yr old child suffer?

I dont know where I was going with any of this. Probably just a simple rant, but I am sick of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and their aggressive recruitment for their religion.

There will come a day when the people of Washington State will get sick of elected officials taking away our constitutional rights. It just takes one initiative to be introduced and passed to take away the rights of our legislators. What would happen if Tim Eyman introduced an initiative that stated that all taxes, funding, and new laws had to be voter approved on a ballot. Or what if he prepared an initiative that stated that the gas tax would remain at 5cents for the next 35 years and that passed. How about an initiative that says the state cannot repeal any initiatives that are passed by the people of Washington State?

Everyday I get a phone call from a desperate person asking for the help of their state legislators to fix this ongoing problem. I have to tell them politely that they will do all they can...yada yada and hang up...truth is I would like to say.."What the hell is your problem...you morons went to the polls and voted these bastards in and then you want to complain about it...Shut your piehole!"

Now, I hear that Washington State has created a law that states that if a stream, river, lake, yada yada...is on or runs through your property, you have to give up 50-60 feet of that property, to be protected as wetlands...yet the government is not going to reimburse you for any of that...you just have to let it go freely. BS! You know, if that was my land...I would get myself and small arsenal, set up camp and go Unibomber on em....ok...not really...but I would be pretty pissed off.

Today's writings...are neither political or breaking news. They are just my feelings and since this is my site with my opinions, I am going to use this post as a way to express what I am feeling:

A so called friend of mine...and I call this person so called...because they do not seem to really know what the definition of a "friend" is.....has continually felt the need to find ways to criticize and demean me on a daily basis. This person has gone out their way to make fun of me for my opinions, questions or beliefs...

Regardless....I have learned a very valuable lesson.You cannot save everyone. Not everyone will like you. Not everyone is a good person, even if they pretend to be or have the prerequisites that would make you believe they should be.

Choose your friends wisely, you only have on life, so dont waste on people that dont or cant respect you. Where there is one bad person, there has to be a good person following right behind.

Last night, the Washington State Legislature, in a 66-32 vote, passed legislation that would allow undocumented children (illegal aliens) to become eligible for health care in Washington State. Currently, the only children that are eligible for state funded Health Care programs, are children that are US Citizens.

I use the term "eligible" loosely. These state funded Health Care programs can be difficult for already established citizens to obtain. Most of these programs are based on a person's income, the funding that is still available for the program, and the rate of enrollees. Regardless of the limitations, we at least still have programs that are available for our children, especially the low income families.

But after yesterday, we now have the possibility that documented children, will have to compete against illegals that now have the right to apply for the same Health Care programs. At least 60% (give or take) of American children were able to recieve medical benefits through DSHS programs and others like this. That percentage could drop rapidly assuming that there is an influx of illegals who decide to partake in these State funded programs.

In, what could be called a very race driven debate, Rep. Tomiko-Santos (D-37th district) emotionally argued that there has been enough discrimination against the poor classes (minorities and illegal aliens) and that it is our duty to deliver Health Care to every child in not only the United States, but the world.

In an equally arousing argument, Rep. John Ahern (R-6th District) stated that the funds that we distributed to illegal children, should be used to "purchase plane tickets and ship them home for their own countries to deal with."

His statement sent Republicans and Democrats both into a frenzy of panic. Such forthright attitude was unexpected, and honestly, I felt, very underappreciated. Many R's who originally were going to oppose the bill, felt that in order to save face, they must vote in support. So they did. (on a side note...I find that rather unbecoming of the R's. No matter what Ahern had stated, the R's should have stuck together and opposed this bill)

Regardless of what argument you choose, it is hard to justify either position. If you turn away a sick child, especially a immigrant with no home or country to belong to, because they cannot afford a doctor or do not have the right insurance, it makes the US only seem cruel and pitiless. Howeve, some could say this same argument is reflective on the opposite side..for example...if we allow illegal children to have access to these State programs, then eventually we will generate a shortage of health care for the children who are US citizens. Therefore, at some point, the documented children that had a right to this Health Care will be turned away and we will be in the same vicious circle. Only, this time, we harm ourselves.

I can only assume that in order to avoid this problem, the Government will have to create a large sum of funding for these programs, thus creating larger taxes for us to pay. This bring up the dilemma of "Should the citizens of the State of Washington be required to pay for health care programs for illegal aliens?" Of course, the only answer that I can come to, is No.

John Ahern so proudly expressed, it is not our duty to take care of another countries people. By allowing illegal aliens to enter the USA with expectations of a job, health care, money, benefits, etc, we are instigating a situation that may deplete our funding, therefore exacerbating an already treacherous circumstance. While we may have the funds or have a way to get the funds at this moment, we will not always be so fortunate should we continue to deplete ourselves.

No matter which side you choose to argue on, you will most likely come off as unfavorable. There is no easy answer to the hinderance of illegal aliens. Should the US close their borders and no longer allow citizens from other countries into the States? Should children born by illegal aliens on US land be considered a US citizen and retain the rights and benefits of that? Do we need to create funding for programs that specialize in health care and education for illegal aliens?

The answers may never be acceptable to everyone. I believe that to be a US citizen is a grand privilege and an honor. But I also believe that this country, which was founded as a place for new beginnings, has got a new purpose. We no longer are a sanctuary for the rest of the world. What happens when we cannot house these people anymore and there is no land left to farm on, no water left to drink and no money left to fund programs to save these people? Let us start saving those that are already here.

If we are the land of plenty, then why are their poor, hungry, homeless, sick and unsheltered? Why are their children on the streets? Before we give our last penny to another country or to another immigrant, let us take a look around and see who stands beside us that is in need. Give them your funding and your programs. When we are healed, then let us think about saving the rest of the world.

As I said, no matter how you argue this, you cannot win.

Jimmy Fallon and Drew BarryMoore...sparkle in this feel good romantic movie of the year!

Ok...maybe not the movie of the year...but it was pretty damn good. Jimmy Fallon plays an average guy...school teacher that makes ok money with a heart the size of Boston, who loves his Red Sox more than he loves breathing. Drew BarryMoore plays a 30 yr old work a holic, who has not been on a successful date in the last 5 years. A match made in heaven...or at least hollywood.

They laugh, they cry, they sleep together, they break up, the laugh some more, cry some more...and then the movie ends. (I certainly cant tell you everything that happens!)

It was a great movie....well mostly great...except for one thing...the thing that always gets me when I go see a movie that is based on "Social Standards"...the morality part.

As I sat on the edge of my seat, and yes I was, anxious to see if Jimmy and Drew would end up together, it dawned on me, that I was rooting for a relationship, albeit "fake", that was set up for failure at the very beginning.

People lose me when they tell me that living together and sleeping together, before ever considering marriage is the best way to know if you are meant to be with that person, because shouldn't you know how you feel about someone from the very beginning..why should we go through sacrificing ourselves morally in order to see if someone is right for you? If that person is suppose to end up with you, isn't that going to happen anyways?

Why do they have to make love stories that involve: Sex on the first date, pregnancy scares, living together before their married, alcohol, affairs...etc....

Why can't Hollywood make one movie where a man meets a woman..who he falls in love with...they dont sleep together on the first date...they dont get smashed on the second date, and they arent pregnant by the third?

If that movie was based on reality...more than likely Drew would have ended up knocked up, Jimmy would have freaked, they would have broke up, Drew would take Jimmy to court, get joint custody and child support and she would be a single mom with a kid from a broken family....there ya go Hollywood..make that into a movie.

I am happy to announce that our 2005 Legislative Session has not been a waste! Thursday, the house passed a bill, 96-1, that would makes goats official livestock, meaning that kidnapping a goat would now be a felony crime. Originally, it was only a misdemeanor.

Let me tell you....thank goodness for this legislature...now Washington Goats will be able to rest easy .

So it seems that Mr. Smarty Pants, The King of Criticism and the Master of Can Do No Wrong (Stonewall) disliked my use of the word "Whoremonger" in my last blog. He seemed to think that this terminology was improper for the topic of choice. So...as I can never just "smile and take it" when it comes to Stonewall's nit-picking...here is an explanation of why I chose that word:

A Whoremonger is "One who habitually patronizes prostitutes" or a "A skanky, no good person. Someone who leeches off people and scams them. Someone who treats others badly for no reason other then they can. (definitions can be found at www.urbandictionary.com ) Now, I realize that the first definition does not really reflect on Teachers and State Employee's..but the second definition does.

Teachers have continued to scam our State, doing whatever they can to make the public think that they are worth more money. That it is NOT their fault for the failing test scores or the drop out rate. They know, they can come to the capital steps or stand outside their schools and picket and protest (and still get paid...hence the leeching..) as long as they want...until they get their new contract. They do this..simply because they can. They do it every year....and every year (at least almost) they get one.

Now, maybe this word wasnt the best one to choose....but I liked it. So Stonewall..Shut it! ( :

Wrong time to raise taxes

Washington State: a land of plenty....plenty of taxes that is.

Every year, it is the same dilemma, the same protest, the same argument. Teachers want a raise...State Employees want a raise. FYI ya whoremongers... We are in a defecit!!!

Okay, I know that might be a big word for some of the Washington Teachers out there....but I will say it slowly for you...Deeeefeeeeeciiiitttt....got it??

In private industry, you will not hear a mediocre worker bee request a raise every 9 months, simply because he/she wants it. The first time they ask, sure...they might get the raise...but year after year....with no improvements and continual disappointment...their boss would eventually decide that they do not need the raise...or in fact do not need the job, at all.

So herein lies the WA St Teachers....which have to be one of the worst group of teachers in the US. I base this opinion on the fact that this state has some of the lowest education scores in the country...and you can not blame the students for that. Yet these teachers...every year..think they deserve to make more money...but have not made any improvements in their classrooms. If you could determine where your tax dollars went, would you give them a raise??? Maybe on an individual basis, but all across the board? I say..HELL NO! (at least I wouldnt, but then, maybe im just greedy)

These minutely educated men and women have been given the privilege to teach our children. Did you know that to become a teacher, you are only required to do 3 years of actual college and one year of on the job training. Which leads to 24 year olds going to highschools and jr highs, trying to teach kids, not much younger than themselves, math, english, science...etc..

This state has implemented all sorts of tests and studies to determine the education level in Washington State...and each year they do new tests, new studies, get new teachers and give them new raises. Yet the children are as dumb as ever...whats the deal?

Enough is enough...Teachers..frankly..you guys suck....you get paid A LOT of money to work 9-10 months, get full paid summers, paid vacations, sick leave and health benefits...Quit yer Bitchin'! I am tired of my tax dollars going to mediocrity. Suck it up and Smarten up.

I am not even going to get started on State Workers..ok...maybe a little...

GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASSES AND ACTUALLY WORK! Grr!! I have seen enough to know that our tax dollars are wasted on a lot of jobs....How many people do you actually need to stuff an envelope? I guess according to the state, at least three...one to stuff it, one to lick it and one to stamp it...Shew..thats some hard work there....glad to see you get 3500.00 a month to do that, plus your vacation, sick time and health benefits...what a friggin cake walk!

Finkbeiner stated that "he's not sure the state can afford pay raises this year for public schoolteachers, state employees and others who get paid with state tax dollars -- if a tax increase is needed to accomplish them. " Bingo my good man! He is right. Washington State is in an enormous defecit...we should all have to suffer for a little bit to get our state caught up. If that means, I do not get a raise, you do not get a raise...and God forbid the Teachers do not get a raise...so what! It is all worth it..to get out of the hole we are in.

OK....I seriously have to rant for a moment....This is my biggest pet peeve in the WHOLE world...why is it that MEN feel that it is not necessary for anyone but their spouse to know that they are married!?!? I cannot stand married guys that do not wear wedding rings!!! I would not means knowingly flirt with a married man (ok, maybe a little, but not with the intention of getting anything out of it). Everyday guys walk past me, talk to me..I meet at places...and have no idea I am talking to a married person. Ok, is anyone else as sick of hearing about Michael Jackson as I am?

In this morning's news, MSNBC stated that "The mother of Michael Jackson’s teen accuser sobbed Wednesday as she told how she had watched silently as the singer licked the head of her sleeping son “over and over” during a private plane flight."

First of all...EWW!! and second of all WTF?!?!? How could a mother just sit there and watch that creepy looking dude lick her kid? Not only just sit there and watch that, but watch it silently! Hello! What is wrong with this picture and this woman! How could she be that quiet about it?

Ron Sims in yesterdays paper stated that "his newly appointed Commission on Elections will conduct an exhaustive review of the strengths and weaknesses of the county's troubled election system". I find it ironic that the county that the problem stemmed from is now the county that wants to make a task force to "help eliminate a reoccuring problem". And to top that off, Sam Reed, our beloved Secretary of State, offered to help Ron out. So let me get this straight..the county executive from the county that screwed us over and put Gregoire in office and the Secretary of State who certified her before making sure the count was right, wants to help Washington State out with OUR election reform? I don't think so.

Sims states "that no single factor led him to launch the commission"....(other than his county got caught cheating....) He said he just thought that the whole situation was getting out of hand! Hell yes it outta hand...about 129 votes outta hand!

As far as I am concerned, we do not have a governor and this election is not over. Why would we allow anyone from King County to come in and attempt to correct the election errors? Are they not the reason that we are in this dilemma?

So instead of actually fixing the problem, we are going to exacerbate the situation by allowing King County to use Washington State tax dollars (which just pisses me off more) to create a task force to RESEARCH..mind you..research not fix...the alleged election problems and the possible inaccurate voting?!!?

And people wonder why Republicans and Democrats can not seem to get along this session. Karma people...its all about Karma...I hope the Democrats enjoy their run at the luxurious buffet of life they are seated at....cause when we get the Majority back, the only thing they will be enjoying is a nice plate of shit sandwiches.
